The russian way of war

Well, well, well, for anybody who believes Russia has changed, and not obbsessed with dominating it's nieghbors, I ask you to look at this new aggression in Georgia. The Russians are using a multitude of contrived excuses, It simply is just Russia doing what she does best, being a bully. Taking advantage of the instability in an obscure region known as north and south Ossetia, Russia has found an opportunity to conquer Georgia and bring her back in to the fold. It is not in the least bit suprising. Putin and like minded people in Moscow are embittered at losing the cold war, and the breakup of the former Soviet Union into a fractured group of independant states hasn't sat well with Russian prestige. I think it would be wise at this point for the U.S. to not antagonize the Russians, that is to say, putting missile defence shields in Poland and the Czech republic would only give the Russians an excuse to act upon their national security. We have nothing to gain, and alot to lose, and make no mistake if the Russians had a good enough excuse, they would not hestsitate to reoccupy the Ukraine, and the baltic states. We need to finally let the Europeans act, for once, the U.S is stretched to the limit militarily, with deployments in both Iraq, and Afganistan, and Russia knows it. Make no mistake, and futhermore, look for more of this kind of thing, as Russia is hell bent on restoring Her pre 1991 borders, and restoring her prestige, that was so damaged with the loss of the cold war.
